A question on a lot of people’s minds right now. Let’s see if the astrology can shed light on future possibilities ahead.
James Richard “Rick” Perry was born on March 4, 1950 at 10:40 A.M. at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell, Texas (Haskell is 10 miles from Paint Creek, Texas). See link here for the source of Perry’s birth time. See Perry’s birth chart below.
A study of the upcoming measurements in 2012 reveals three very important planetary transits to Perry’s natal horoscope:
1. Transiting Pluto will square natal Mars and the North Node between January and December 2012. Will Perry fight his way to the top against anything that may get in his way? Will he make waves and identify with a large group of people or the public? You better believe he can and probably will!
2. Transiting Uranus will be opposed natal Mars and semisquare Jupiter between June 2012 and March 2013. This spells out: “sudden application of great energy, a dominant will; the big break opportunity; and boundless optimism.” Uranus with Jupiter usually symbolizes an intensification of reward (—thank you to astrologer Noel Tyl and his teachings!).
3. Transiting Saturn will square natal Venus and the Midheaven between November 2012 and September 2013. Saturn’s transit can represent various possibilities, but one thing is sure — transiting Saturn conjunct, square or opposed the Midheaven suggests important career developments (this occurs approximately every seven years).
Now, in order to better understand what could manifest with this combination of transits, let’s look at Perry’s political past. These three transits occurred simultaneously in hard aspect once before in Perry’s life between 1990 and 1993.
The lead-in event in 1989 was Perry’s announcement that he was joining the Republican Party. He was a Democrat as a state legislator before switching parties in 1989 — just before he ran for Commissioner of Agriculture of Texas in 1990 and won with a surprise victory. He took office January 15, 1991. That’s one bull’s eye for these three transits in terms of Perry being elected to office.
Jumping back to the start of Perry’s political career, he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1984 (until 1991 when he became Agriculture Commissioner). Transiting Saturn was square Venus and the Midheaven in October/November 1983 (likely when he was preparing his run). Bull’s eye.
Forward to 1994, Perry was reelected Agriculture Commissioner by a large margin. In 1998, he chose not to seek a third term but instead to run for Lieutenant Governor. He won and took office January 19, 1999. Transiting Saturn was again square Venus and the Midheaven in April/May 1999. Bull’s eye again.
Perry then assumed the governorship on December 21, 2000 becoming the Governor of Texas following the resignation of then-Governor George W. Bush. And what do we see in 2000? Saturn hooking up with Venus again. This time through Solar Arc activity: SA Saturn square Venus! Another bingo!
Throughout 2001, transiting Uranus was conjunct Jupiter and sesquiquadrate Mars (just as it was in hard aspect in 1990 when elected Agriculture Commissioner, and will be in 2012-2013)! That’s again, another bull’s eye for the sensitivity of these transits occurring together when Perry is elected or assumes office.
In 2006, Perry was reelected Governor with transiting Saturn opposed Venus and the Midheaven! Are we not starting to see a pattern here?!
Based on the astrology with transiting Saturn coming up to square Venus and the Midheaven in 2012-2013, I think Perry could easily win the Republican nomination in 2012. Could he potentially also win the U.S. presidential election? Unfortunately, I think the astrology suggests that he could very well just do that too!
